The blood draws for Buffalo's annual Health Fair will be next week at the Johnson County Fairgrounds and the following week in Kaycee. Starting Monday and continuing through Friday, Buffalo residents can get their blood drawn from 7 until 10 am everyday.
Blood draws will happen in Kaycee at the KC Clinic February 22nd and 23rd from 7:30 am to 9:30 am both days.
Karen Sullivan, Patient Education Specialist with the Johnson County Healthcare Center, tells us about the Health Fair.
The list of screens being performed and the cost for each is listed on flyers distributed throughout the community at area doctor's offices, grocery stores and at the Prescription Shop to name a few and are also available online at www.wyominghealthfair.com
It is a good idea to check with your doctor beforehand to see which screens he may want you to have done at the Health Fair.
Also, Sullivan said fasting is necessary for most screens, but check with your doctor or on the website. Water is okay if fasting, and in fact, everyone is encouraged to drink plenty of water.
Again, results can be picked up March 3rd at the fairgrounds, and we will have more information on the Health Fair in the coming weeks.
