Hay Haulers Get Free Oversize Loads Through Wyoming

This year's drought has taken its toll on the state's hay crop, but Wyoming officials have agreed to provide some relief to those looking to import or transport hay.

Captain Carl Clements, Wyoming Highway Patrol District 4 Commander, explains.

Fees for oversize loads of hay have been revoked until the end of the year, but Clements said aside from the fee waiver, hauling a load of hay through the state will be business as usual.

The fee waiver may extend beyond December 31 if federal agricultural disaster designations persist.
