Construction of the latest development of the Holly Ponds Planned Unit Development could start this summer.
Developer Ron Patterson said his company is conducting the final surveys and polls of area residents, and the final drafting of architectural plans for Haven III. The Haven is for seniors, who are at least 62 years old.
The Sheridan developer talked about Holly Ponds and how Haven III will complement what has already been accomplished in the development on Sheridan's west side.
He said the condominiums are just west of the Welch cancer treatment center off Fifth Street, and overlook the ponds. The 48 units, plus an underground parking and storage area, are being pre-sold. A dozen units have already been purchased. He said the one- and two-bedroom units are arranged around four choices of community rooms – arts/crafts, greenhouse, exercise and a media room for movies. The developer said Haven III will cover around 85,000 square feet under one roof.
The buyer of the unit can select interior details including colors, window coverings and furnishings. The condos are pet-friendly, although there is a two-pet limit. Units include full kitchens, appliances, and individual climate control. The developer said construction should take about a year. The projected cost, including professional fees, land and construction, is about $10 million.
