Families from Hand in Hand are meeting Thursday evening to come up with a solution to their childcare needs after it was announced Monday that the HIH Center will close June 3rd.

News from the powers that run the Hand in Hand Childcare Center in Sheridan dealt a painful blow to the staff, parents and most importantly the children at the center. The word that came to the parents at the beginning of this week that Hand in Hand would be closing June 3rd caused hurt, then anger and now action.

Spokesman for the families of the Little Big Horn Childcare Co-op, PJ Treide, shares with the community.

Treide says that they met last night with the teachers from Hand in Hand to see who among them would be willing to continue working with their children, and then a plan will be put together from there.

The next part is meeting as a community, which they will do this evening, he says.

The meeting will be held at the Watt Ag Building at Sheridan College beginning at 5:30 this evening. Concerned citizens willing to help are welcome to attend.
