Hammer Chevrolet has been owned by three generations since current owner Dick Hammer's grandfather started the business during the depths of the Great Depression.
Dick Hammer said each generation has faced challenges and he shares some of the company's history.
But there will be a new face at the Sheridan dealership. Troy Baker of Sheridan will be starting as Vice President of Operations this Friday, also filling the role of an investor and partner, and Hammer said he's excited about the future with Baker involved.
Hammer said the future of Hammer Chevrolet plays into the company's history, especially when it comes to keeping the business inside Sheridan.
Hammer said customers can continue to expect the great service that the company and its team are known for. Baker was attracted to the business, Hammer said, because he has been a longtime customer and was impressed with the service.
Hammer says with Baker as a new partner, he sees plenty of opportunities for growth.
If you want to check out the Hammer Chevrolet dealership, it's located at 107 East Alger Street in downtown Sheridan.
