There are a number of Halloween events that are scheduled to take place in the area Thursday. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has a preview of some of the hot spots for trick-or-treaters.
Northeast Wyoming Pediatric Associates in Sheridan is hosting a costume contest for those 21 years of age and under. Ghouls and goblins can stop in their office at 916 Jackson Avenue anytime between 8 and 5 to enter the contest. There will be cash prizes for first, second and third place.
Both McDonald's in Sheridan will be offering up a free hamburger to kids that stop by in their costume between 4 and 8pm. The Tongue River Valley Community Center in Dayton will be hosting their annual Trunk-or-Treat for monsters of all ages between 5 and 7.
There will be a Trunk-or-Treat at the First United Methodist Church parking lot in Sheridan from 5:30 to 7. Candy seekers accompanied by an adult can meet at the Powder Horn Clubhouse at 6 for a trick-or-treating tour of homes in the Powder Horn community via the Sheridan Trolley. Sheridan Manor will be offering treats to those in costume between 6 and 8 and Westview Health Care Center will be serving up goodies from 6:30 to 8.
Those are just a sampling of some of the different ways the little monsters can fill their bags with sweets this Halloween.
