BRIGHTON, Colo. (AP) - Prosecutors will not file charges against a man who shot his childhood friend during a Colorado gun show. Adams County prosecutors said Friday they determined the shooting was an accident after a joint investigation with the sheriff's office. Officials say Colorado resident Joshua Hertzler was handling a gun at the Tanner Gun Show in the Denver Merchandise Mart on Saturday when a shot went off.
Twenty-two-year-old Grant Edmunds, of Laramie, Wyoming, was struck in the upper body. He was listed in good condition at Denver Health Medical Center. Loaded guns are prohibited inside the gun show and security personnel disable most guns. Authorities say they're continuing to investigate other aspects of the incident but they did not elaborate.
