Last Friday, while Wyoming Republican Gubernatorial candidate Matt Mead was in Sheridan to attend several events, he took some time out of his hectic schedule to speak with Sheridan Media News Director Ron Richter about some issues of relevance. Mead had this to say in response to the Federal law that prohibits a person convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence from owning a firearm that has traveled via interstate commerce.

And as far as if Mead feels Sarah Palin's recent endorsement of candidate Rita Meyer will have any kind of any influence on the outcome of the election?

A poll that came out last week shows that Republicans Rita Meyer and Matt Mead are nearly dead even in the race for Wyoming Governor, while candidate Leslie Peterson is in the lead on the Democratic side. The Primary Election is just over a week away, as it will be next Tuesday, August 17th.
