With a break in the rain and wind, and the sound of bird songs rejoicing in the background, Volunteers of America celebrated the groundbreaking Tuesday morning of the new Milestones Group Home. The facility will be built behind Landons Greenhouse, across from the VOA's Gathering Place. Before the shovels hit the ground, VOA director Jeff Holsinger told the crowd.

Funded by Wyoming's Fiscal Stabilization Projects as well as Wyoming Community Block Grant money acquired from Sheridan County, Holsinger describes the significance the home will have for troubled youth.

Mountain West is serving as the architectural firm for Milestones, and the due diligence process is underway with the General Contractor. Holsinger said that as soon as the contract is signed, a public announcement will be made as to who was awarded the bid.
