Officials with Green House Living for Sheridan opened bids for construction of their cottages and administration building Wednesday afternoon at the Sheridan Senior Center. In total, six bids were opened, that will be taken under advisement says Green House President Doug Osborn.
Five of the six bids came in at over $5 million for the total cost of the project, the lone bid that was just under $5 million was made by Wright Brothers Building Company, who have a satellite office in Sheridan. Osborn didn't give an exact time frame on when the bid would be awarded, just that it would be soon as they are hoping to begin construction sometime in March.
The project will most likely take over a year to complete, as it includes building four cottages that will house 7 to 12 seniors each, and an administrative building. Green House for Living in Sheridan will be located a little over a mile west of Sheridan Memorial Hospital at the Village at Cloud Peak Ranch. The two acres of land was donated by developer Don Roberts.
