The Sheridan High School Spring Musical, which opens this evening at the Sue Henry Theater at the high school, can be summed up in one catch phrase – Grease is the Word. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the details.
A 62 member cast will hand-jive their way through the Broadway and film classic that depicts a group of teenagers from the 1950's who were more interested in racing cars and styling their hair, than making the grade at Rydell High. Sheridan Media Intern Jackson Hanify has a role in the musical and tells us about his character Roger.
Hanify, or “Roger”, says that the cast and Director Marva Craft, have been working on the musical since the first week of January.
There will be five performances of Grease - tonight through Saturday night at 7:30, and a Sunday matinee at 2 o'clock. Tickets can be purchased at the Sheridan High School office in advance for $7, or $8 at the door. The Friday, Saturday and Sunday performances are sold out.
