The Johnson County Commissioners will have their first meeting of September on Tuesday and according to their Agenda, will discuss the OJJDP Grant Application with County Attorney Ken DeCock, as well as the proposed county fuel depot, both of which have been issues at the heart of recent “bad blood” between the commission and the attorney's office.
Absent from the Agenda is any mention of discussion concerning the lease of water from Lake DeSmet by the Wyoming Game and Fish. The commissioners had previously rejected the offer but last week held a workshop to discuss the matter one last time before the next round of G&F meetings which are scheduled for later this month.
Also on the Agenda is a quarterly update from Volunteers of America on services they are providing to the county; a discussion on a county subdivision and an update on the county's Geographic Information System (GIS).
Finally, the commissioners will review and discuss railing options for the arena at the fairgrounds.
The meeting begins at 9am at the Johnson County Courthouse.
