The Griffith Foundation has committed $2.5 million to go toward the renovation and expansion of the Thorne-Rider Student Center at Sheridan College. Sheridan College President Dr. Paul Young.
Young says that this type of project is designed to meet the needs of their ever growing student population.
The project when complete will double the space of the current student center, as 16,937 square feet will be remodeled and 16,180 square feet will be new construction. The Sheridan College Foundation has agreed to help raise $6 million of the $11.7 million of the total project cost. The College expects to break ground in early spring 2013, with a tentative completion date of the fall semester 2014.
