Governor Honors Occidental, Ptolemy

The Occidental Hotel in Buffalo and Ptolemy Data Systems
in Sheridan have been selected as success stories to be highlighted this month during the governor's business forum in Cheyenne.

The news comes from President Bill Schilling of the Wyoming Business Alliance and Wyoming Heritage Foundation.

Governor Matt Mead has partnered with the organizations to host this year's forum to be held at Little America Hotel and Resort from Nov. 19-20. To register, go to – www.wyomingbusinessalliance.com.

According to the release from the hosting organizations, the two local businesses are among 23 success stories chosen, based on their successful growth strategies in their industry.

Dave Bell from Pinedale is the chairman of the Wyoming Business Alliance. He said: "This year's forum features a diverse array of great people, coming from 18 cities, who collectively represent Wyoming's future."

President Schilling of the Alliance simple said, this year's forum “highlights many of Wyoming's Best.”

In the release, Dawn Wexo was named in connection to The Occidental Hotel. Since buying the building in 1997, the president said she's restored the historic landmark and preserved the authentic reality of the American frontier once enjoyed by notable guests like Teddy Roosevelt, Buffalo Bill Cody, Calamity Jane and Butch Cassidy.

He went on to describe Ptolemy Data System as a provider of comprehensive managed information technology services, delivering a broad range of technology solutions, including IT consulting, data storage, business continuity and hosted IT and tele-health services.
