In recognition of the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, Wyoming Governor Matt Mead officially proclaimed the month of January as
“Mentoring Month” for the state. Greater Wyoming Big Brothers Big Sisters has various services statewide in Sheridan, Laramie, Casper, Cheyenne, Rawlins, Pinedale and Saratoga.
Greater Wyoming Big Brothers Big Sisters C-E-O Steve Hamaker said that the organization served over 1,200 children in eight different communities in Wyoming last year. The statewide “Mentoring Month” proclamation is in conjunction with others issued by local city officials and President Obama.
