CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Gov. Dave Freudenthal plans to join corporate officials in Cheyenne to mark the recent completion of the Rockies Express Pipeline. The newly completed pipeline will carry natural gas from Wyoming and elsewhere to the Midwest. It starts in Colorado and passes through Wyoming before ending in Ohio.
Backers of the project have said it should help to raise gas prices in Wyoming by providing more pipeline capacity. Freudenthal plans to hold a media conference this afternoon with representatives from business interests that own and operate the pipeline.
