We previously reported that Wyoming Governor Matt Mead was asking for public input on the state's energy strategy moving forward. After the November 27 deadline, more than 70 initiatives have been proposed as a direct result of public participation.
The suggested ideas cover the range of possible projects, proposed policies and agency actions. Governor Mead said in a media release that the goal is to use these initiatives as the basis for a model strategy that promotes energy, open spaces, working agricultural operations and economic growth.
Mead said he invites the public to attend - in person or over an internet connection - in a series of online seminars that introduce and explore the next step in developing an energy strategy. The introductory webinar will take place on December 6, between 1 and 2 p.m. You can participate by visiting https://plus.google.com/u/0/even... at that time.
