Wyoming Governor Matt Mead has selected Craig Jones as the new Circuit Court Judge for the Third Judicial District in Sweetwater County. Jones will replace Judge Daniel Forgey who moved to the Seventh Judicial District.

In a media release, Mead says Craig’s vast trial experience, his long history working in the court room and the great recommendations he received, show that he should be an excellent judge. Mead thanked him for his commitment to public service, and to the contribution he will now make in Sweetwater County as he takes on this judgeship.

Jones is currently the Chief Deputy District Attorney in Cheyenne. He received his law degree from the University of Wyoming and has been a municipal court judge in Buffalo, a Deputy County Attorney in Johnson and Converse Counties and was also in private practice.

Jone says that he and his family are excited to move and become part of the Sweetwater County community. He says it's humbling to have the trust of Governor Mead and the Judicial Nominating Committee.
