Council Chambers at Sheridan City Hall was the site Tuesday for a new councilor orientation work session. The New Year will bring three new councilors to the Sheridan City Council, as Levi Dominguez, Shelleen Smith and Kristin Kelly were elected earlier this month.
Kelly technically isn't a new councilor, as she was appointed to fill the unexpired term of John Bigelow, who resigned earlier this year. Kelly ran unopposed in this year's election for the Ward II seat. Dominguez, who'll be taking over the Ward III seat currently held by Steve Brantz, says that he's glad the City is holding orientation work sessions for the new councilors.
Councilor Elect for Ward I, Shelleen Smith, stated that she's looking forward to her new position.
Councilor Robert Webster has been on the Council for almost two decades, and he along with Councilor Ryan Mulholland offered up the advice of going to the City's department heads for any questions that the new councilors may have.
Kelly, Dominguez and Smith will be sworn in at the Council's first regular meeting of the year, which is set for Monday, January 7th.
