The annual Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum's Living History Day will be this Saturday, June 25th at the museum in Buffalo.
The event is a chance for the museum to welcome the community to tour the museum as well as learn about history through the living exhibits placed around the museum and the Johnson County Courthouse grounds.
Museum Director John Gavin explains what the event is all about.
The Living exhibits include tomahawk throwing, horseshoeing, buffalo hunters, flintnappers and more.
There will also be facepainting for the kids and book signings by authors Gene Gagliano, Zachary Pullen and Judy Slack.
The Basque Dancers will perform at 10:30 and the square dancers go on at 11:30.
Festivities begin at 9 am and continue until 2 pm. The museum is located at the corner of Fort and Main Streets in Buffalo.
