The Sheridan Game and Fish Department's Warren Mischke has been recognized by his co-workers with a “Peer Recognition Award” for his work with kids in the community and the overall positive impact he has on the people he works with.

Sheridan Office Manager Lori Roe nominated Mischke, and, of the many, she tells us about one of the biggest reasons why.

Roe says that not only is Mischke great in the community, he's great to work with.

Mischke has worked with the Game and Fish for 34 years and in Sheridan since 1995. He works with media relations for the department and also with department camps and with the hatchery system, according to the Game and Fish. He has been a science teacher, outdoor education program leader and a coach in Omaha where he earned his Masters in science education from the University of Nebraska. Mischke lives in Dayton with his wife Patricia. They have three children.
