The future of Kendrick Pool in Sheridan was discussed at Wednesday's Sheridan City Council budget work session. Sheridan Recreation District Executive Director Richard Wright pointed out that even during a good year, they continue to lose money operating the facility.
Despite numbers being up last summer, there was still a net loss of over $18,000 to operate and maintain the pool. Wright says that they do have a plan in place.
18,776 people used the pool last summer, with July being the busiest month at 8,496 visitors.
