On Tuesday night, the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library was presented with a check on behalf of the Friends of the Library. Sheridan Media's Chris Foy was there and has the story.
The Friends of the Library held its 30th annual library auction in November, and individuals, businesses and the rest of the community ended up raising $55,000 to benefit the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library.
Renee Parker, president of the Friends of the Library board, presented the check to library director Cameron Duff. Parker explains that all the money raised by the Friends of the Library goes right back into the Sheridan County library system.
And Duff says community members can expect to see the benefits of their generosity fill the shelves very soon.
Every cent of the $55,000 check came directly from the community. Duff says he is always overwhelmed by the support the Sheridan County library system has from the surrounding community.
Both Parker and Duff emphasized their immense gratitude to Sheridan, oh behalf of the county library system and the Friends of the Library, for the ability to purchase new materials and books for the library, all for everyone's benefit.
