An opening reception was held for two local artists Thursday night at the Fulmer Public Library.

“W(h)Y I Love WY,” a photographic exhibit by Becky Grimes can be found in the Inner Circle and Sam Street's show, “Main Street and More,” up on the mezzanine of the library will be featured through the month of August.

Grimes, an elementary teacher, takes many of her images while out fishing. She says three things set the tone for her work.

Grimes has more than 175 framed prints covering the walls of the Inner Circle, all portraying wildflowers, wildlife, and landscapes from across Wyoming. She says it's all about taking a closer look.

The reception for Sam Street was a little too hot to handle. He headed home soon after the opening Thursday evening. The air conditioning in that part of the library is currently not working.
