The Second Chance Sheridan Cat Rescue still has available slots for cats to be spayed or neutered free of charge.
This is the second year in a row the rescue has sponsored a community-wide event to get dog and cat populations under control in the community. Rachel Kristiansen, director of operations at the rescue, said there are more benefits to having a pet fixed.
Owners are encouraged to stay with their animals during the surgery and recovery period. To register a pet to be altered, call Elaine at 752-5807 or bring your pet to the Fair Ground Exhibit Hall tomorrow morning.
