The Wyoming Department of Health in conjunction with local family planning clinics and public health offices will offer a free service throughout Wyoming this Thursday. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more.
Thursday is World Aids Day, and thanks to the Department of Health, many places around the state are offering free HIV testing. Sheridan County Public Health HIV, Hepatitis and STD Coordinator Anna Atkinson says that while Wyoming may be a low incident state, HIV is out there.
The CDC states that of those that test positive for HIV, one third find out too late to fully benefit from treatment.
Atkinson said that Thursday, Sheridan County Public Health will be offering free walk-in testing all day for anyone that wishes to get tested.
