Four UW Graduates to Receive Honorary Degrees During Homecoming Activities

Four University of Wyoming graduates will receive Distinguished Alumni Awards during UW Homecoming activities Saturday, October 12th. Jim Kearns
has more.

The 2013 recipients are retired Shell executive Thomas Botts, who received a B.A. degree in Civil Engineering in 1977; award-winning automobile dealer Joseph Drew, who in 1963 received a B.S. degree in business administration; law professor and retired UW administrator Joseph R. Geraud, who earned his law degree at UW in 1950); and utility company executive, retired Air Guard colonel and former state auditor Rita Meyer who in 1982 received a B.A. degree in middle school education and returned to earn a B.S. degree in accounting in 1989.

The honorees will attend several Homecoming activities, ride in the homecoming parade Saturday, Oct. 12, and be recognized at halftime during the Cowboys' football game with the University of New Mexico.
