Local Theater Artist and Educator Grace Cannon will be hosting a four part play reading series that will begin Saturday at the Sheridan Fulmer Library in the Inner Circle.
The series is called Black Lives in Plays and will take place each Saturday, April 22, through May 13 from 1 to 4 pm. Cannon talks about the series and what prompted her to put the program together.
Cannon said the play readings are free and open to the public and that people can participate in as many of the readings as they wish.
Saturday’s play will be “A Raisin in the Sun” by Lorraine Hansberry. Below is a list of all of the plays that will be featured in the series.
