Wyoming Approves Possible Pipeline Investment

CHEYENNE, (AP) - Wyoming's top statewide elected officials have given the state Treasurer's Office authority to negotiate a possible $300 million state investment in a proposed natural gas pipeline. The five officials, sitting as the State Loan and Investment Board, voted Thursday to approve the investment provided the Treasurer's Office can reach acceptable terms.

Competency Concerns Delay Court Proceedings For Accused Kidnapper

In August of this year police arrested 48-year-old Kevin Fuller on charges of kidnapping after an incident at the Maverik Store in South Sheridan. After his case was bound over to 4th Judicial District Court for trial, the court set an arraignment hearing for September 10th. During that hearing counsel raised a concern about Fuller’s competency to stand trial.

Christmas Carol Begins Tonight At WYO Theater

"Bah Humbug!!!" We’ve all heard that before at this time of year. Whether you’ve seen the movie, read the book, or even witnessed a live performance, the allure of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is timeless. The live performance has also become something of a tradition for the WYO Theater in Sheridan. The show was adapted for the WYO stage by Craig Johnson over a decade ago.

Chamber Of Commerce Selects 2009 Award Winners

The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce sponsors programs like Leadership Sheridan and legislative forums, but every December they get together to honor some of their own. The Chamber members vote to give four awards each year including Volunteer of the Year, Business of the Year, Business Person of the Year, and the Schmoozie Award.
