A news release issued Friday morning by Sheridan attorney Tony Wendtland indicates that an investigation could go into effect regarding a former employee of the Hand in Hand Early Childhood Education Center in Sheridan.
Mr. Wendtland, who represents the Sheridan Quality Child Care Initiative, Inc. or “Squishy” that operates Hand in Hand, gave this statement to Sheridan Media.
The media release indicates that the preliminary loss reported with the criminal claim is for approximately $15,000. SQCCI has also submitted a claim to its insurance carrier.
Because of the ongoing criminal investigation, Mr. Wendtland, has determined that it is not appropriate for the Board or any staff from Hand in Hand to further comment on this matter.
