Former City of Sheridan City Councilman Ryan Mulholland has announced his candidacy for the House District 29 seat, currently held by Representative John Patton. Mulholland talked about what prompted him to run for the state legislature.

If elected, Mulholland said that there are a number of issues that he'd like to address that are important to Sheridan as well as the state.

Mulholland is the founder of Ptolemy Data Systems, and has been in Sheridan since 1997, when he moved to the area to attend Sheridan College. He served one-term on the Sheridan City Council representing ward one from 2009 to 2012. Mulholland indicated that he will officially file for the position in May.
