The Medicine Wheel/Paintrock Ranger District of the Bighorn National Forest is seeking public input during the early phases of planning a proposal to issue, modify, or reissue special use authorizations for nine outfitters and guides.
Nelson Outfitters of Sheridan, Paintrock Adventures of Basin, and Tangle Ridge Outfitters of Graybull are, each, proposed for a new assigned site. A new assigned site and additional service days are proposed for Big Buck Outfitters of Sheridan.
The Forest Service also proposes to issue two new special use authorizations to Black Wolf Mototours, LLC, of Red Lodge, Montana, for guided motorcycle use and to Adventure Education Institute, of Wilmington, North Carolina, for guided backpacking trips into Cloud Peak Wilderness.
Also in the proposal is a re-issuance of a permit to Diamond Tail Outfitters of Shell, as well as additional service days for C5 Youth Foundation of Southern California and the National Outdoor Leadership School of Lander.
More detailed information can be found by going to the U.S. Forest Service website. Anyone wishing to provide input on the proposed actions must do so by written comments delivered to the Forest Service in Lovell by March 25.
