The Tongue Ranger District is hosting an open house Tuesday night, from 4-6:30, at the Forest Service Work Center at 1355 Fort Road. The center is located near the entrance to the Veterans Administration facility in Sheridan.
According to district ranger Clarke McClung, the open house affords an opportunity for the public to meet with Bighorn National Forest employees, one-on-one, and to discuss local forest management projects scheduled to begin this summer.
Personnel working in recreation, wildlife, range, fire and fuels management, timber, hydrology, fisheries, archaeology, and special uses will be available to answer questions and take feedback on local forest management.
The district ranger said anyone interested in the forest is not only welcome but encouraged to attend the open house.
