The 2nd Annual Fundraising Fiesta will be Friday in Buffalo to benefit the Bread of Life Food Pantry.
Pam McFadden, with the Food Pantry, explains more about the pantry and why they need the fundraiser.
The event will be Friday at the American Legion at 18 Veteran's Avenue from 4:30 to 7 pm.
The Mexican buffet will feature pork or chicken enchiladas, green chili, tortillas, tacos, Mexican rice, refried beans, salsa and chips and desserts.
There will also be pinatas for the kids to enjoy. Food for the fundraiser is again a collaboration of people in the community from St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Big Horn Baptist Church, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. Luke's Lutheran Church and the First United Methodist Church, with help from the Bureau of land Management.
McFadden said she hopes because a good chunk of money was raised for the food pantry from the sheep wagon auction at this year's Basque Festival that people won't think the pantry is set for funds. Nothing could be further from the truth, she said.
Tickets are available for $7 at the Mansion House or at the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce, or for $9 at the door. Children 5 and under are admitted free of charge.
