Pam McFadden, Chairperson for the food pantry, said the community has stepped up their donations, but there are more families than ever needing help.
And the help won't stop with the Thanksgiving holiday, she said. After this week, the push will be to provide Christmas food packages, and everyday help as well.
McFadden said there are more and more families needing help on an everyday basis, which is placing unfamiliar strains on the food pantry.
In the past, volunteers could stock shelves and it would last through the morning and afternoon food pickups and until the next stocking time. Now, shelves have to be stocked in between the first and second food pickups.
