Sheridan County Public Health announced that during the recent holidays, reports of flu-like illnesses were at high levels. Toby Granger, Public Information Officer and Nurse Educator for Sheridan County Public Health, explains.

Granger says this means the flu season is starting fairly early.

If you're experiencing symptoms of what could be the flu, Granger recommends first visiting a physician, but there are some preventative measures you can take as well.

Sheridan County Public Health is offering free flu vaccines to students under the age of 18 at their office located at 297 South Main St. in Sheridan.
