The Wyoming Department of Health announced this week that of the almost 500 confirmed cases of flu in the state, one-third of those have been in Campbell County.

Wyoming Department of Health Spokeswoman Kim Deti said that the number of confirmed cases in Sheridan County is under 10, however, she added that number is most likely higher due to the fact that not all who become ill with the flu seek medical treatment, and not all physicians report every case of the flu.

Sheridan County Public Health Director Lisa Silcox says that vaccinations have certainly increased.

She added that there's a common misconception about the flu shot.

The director said that you can get your flu shot at the public health office by just walking in anytime between 8 and 5 Monday through Friday.
