CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Flooding from heavy rain has caused a computer outage that prevented Wyoming Transportation Department driver license examination stations around the state from issuing licenses and ID cards. WYDOT officials say the outage could prevent the issuing of licenses into Monday.
Persistent rain this week has caused minor flooding and temporary road restrictions in some parts of the state. A flash flood watch was posted for areas in central, western and southeast Wyoming Friday. The flood watch included Casper, Rock Springs, Green River, Lander and Pinedale. The National Weather Service says flooded creeks and streams and mudslides and rock slides were possible in some areas.
