The flooding has begun throughout many parts of Sheridan County, as Big Goose Creek is running over its banks and has flooded a home on NB Avenue and several residences along Big Goose Road. Sheridan County Emergency Management Coordinator Dave Coleman has this advice for those who are experiencing flooding.
Coleman says that the safest thing to do right now is stay away from any high water.
Sheridan County is under a flood watch through Sunday afternoon, as we could experience heavy rain at times over the weekend. If you witness any flooding over the weekend, you can contact either the Sheridan Police Department at 672-2413, or Sheridan Fire Rescue at 674-7244.
