As it turns out, flights in and out of Sheridan were canceled Thursday and Friday, but not because of the snowstorm.
Manager Marcia Harber of Great Lakes Airlines said there was trouble with the FAA localizer.
That was airport manager John Stopka joining in.
She went on to say three consecutive flights were cancelled – Thursday night's coming in from Denver, and two Friday flights out of Sheridan.
Stopka, who manages the airport for the county said the airport itself rarely ever closes. He should know. He's been there for 38 years. As a county-owned airport, he acts as a department head and manages the entire grounds.
