The Christmas Stroll Committee in Sheridan announced the first winner in the weekly drawings for stroll button holders. Kathy J. Larson, of Sheridan, received a gift certificated for $100 Chamber Bucks, redeemable at more than 560 businesses that are members of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce.
The committee will be drawing a winning button every Monday afternoon through Christmas Eve, with a grand prize drawing on December 31st for $1,000 Chamber Bucks. Every button number and registration slip that's submitted by people visiting participating businesses through Christmas Eve is a chance to win.
But you have to hold onto those buttons. Executive director of the chamber, Dixie Johnson, said in a media release that participants must present a winning button in order to claim any of the prizes.
Johnson said 103 businesses have winning numbers posted and that only a few have been claimed. To view a list of participating businesses, visit www.sheridanwyomingchamber.org.
