The first-ever Sheridan Iron Festival took place Friday night at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds, all in part to to one lady's dream. Katherine Deeds or Kat by her friends, saw a need and did her best to fill it.
She said Sheridan is smack dab in the middle of bike country, so why not give them a reason to stop, shop, and stay awhile.
A little bit of strategic planning on Deeds part, the Sheridan Iron Festival is on the Friday in-between the Red Lodge Rally and Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, but more than that the Iron Festival is also about giving back to our community.
Hood was denied medical treatment in Denver because he didn't have insurance.
Billed as a family-friendly event, Deeds said there was something for everyone.
Music, pin-up girls contests, a silent auction, bikes and cars, there were also stripper poles for those who dared, but clothes had to stay on. Proceeds from the event will go to help cover the medical benefits for Hood.
