First Ever BBQ Fest Competition Held in Sheridan

You couldn't mistake the smell. BBQ's fired up on a grand scale that set your mouth watering as you approached Whitney Plaza.

It was the first of its kind ever to be held in Sheridan. Friday night began the two day BBQ festival as teams vied for the "People's Choice Award" in BBQ wings Friday night.

Tye Bach helped bring the Kansas City Barbecue Society's licensed competition to Sheridan.

This is Brady Legerski's fifth time to enter a BBQ competition. It's all a learning process about what the judges want.

And then you have to learn the flavor of each town which now includes Sheridan.

Today's competition includes BBQ chicken, pork ribs, pork, and beef brisket. Admission is free.
