At Thursday's meeting of the Sheridan County Fair Association's Board of Trustees, board members discussed upcoming events and possible plans for future growth.
The inaugural 4-H Project Expo will take place on this January, and will be held in the newly remodeled exhibit hall. Jerrica Lind, Youth Development Educator for 4-H's Sheridan extension, explains.
Lind says there will be booths for cupcake decorating and leather-crafting, as well as a talent show, a dog agility course and a bake sale.
4-H dogs that have gone through socialization, obedience and agility training will be allowed to run the course, according to Lind. Dog vaccination records must also be on file at the 4-H office.
The first ever 4-H Expo will also be an opportunity for the community to learn about, and even sign up to be a participant in, the organization.
Lind also announced that the annual 4-H carnival will take place on March 2.
