In early April, the Sheridan City Council voted unanimously to uphold the decision by City Human Resources Director Heather Doke to not grant 5% wage increases for 6 firefighters from Sheridan Fire-Rescue.
After the Council's decision to deny the firefighters grievance, the local union commented that litigation would most likely follow. City Council President John Bigelow says that the firefighters union has taken action.
The City Council has an executive session scheduled immediately following Monday night's regular Council meeting where they will discuss in further detail the lawsuit brought forth by the firefighters union.
