Fire restrictions will soon be lifted for our neighbors to the north. Kimberly Frasier, recreation/resource assistant with the Custer National Forest,
explains.
Frasier said this means campers can have open flames in non-designated camping sites, but cautions that fire safety must always remain a top priority.
More than 100,000 acres of forest land near Ashland were burned in a wildfire this summer.
