BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - The Bozeman Fire Department says a fire that killed two men in a third-floor apartment appears to have started on or near a couch in the first floor entryway of the building. Fire officials say the ignition source could not be determined, but an investigation suggests it's possible the fire was caused by the improper disposal of smoking materials.
The fire that occurred during the early morning hours on March 1st, killed 29-year-old Dale Beard and 30-year-old Jacob Neuman. The two friends were from Sheridan and were working in the restaurant industry in Bozeman.
