Fire Contained to Storage Shed, Tree on Gould Street Early Saturday

A reported structure fire at 1055 North Gould Street early Saturday morning turned out to be a storage shed which had caught fire behind a house. No one was injured in the blaze, according to a release from Sheridan Fire-Rescue Fire Marshal Brian Songer.

The fire engulfed the shed, and moved into a tree and power lines near the shed, but did not reach the home. Power was not lost to any areas, as responders were able to stop it before it damaged power lines significantly.

With the incident under investigation, the cause of the fire is not known at this time, and SFR asks anyone with further information to contact them at 674-7244.

SFR responded to the fire at approximately 3:30 am Saturday and were on the scene past 5:30 am. Rocky Mountain Ambulance, Sheridan Police Department and MDU also assisted at the scene.
