We conclude our series on allergies with a look at an upcoming clinic hosted by Big Horn Ear, Nose and Throat later this month. Dr. Cheryl Varner says that the test is very simple and will take about 45 minutes.
Dr. Varner said that if the test is positive, there will be options for a more extensive follow-up screening test that will be at a discounted price for those who participated in the screening clinic. Dr. Varner says that for those that don't respond well to medications and nasal sprays, allergy immunotherapy can be the answer for certain individuals.
The allergy screening clinic will be held April 22nd through the 26th. You can call Big Horn Ear, Nose and Throat at 675-4646 before April 17th to make an appointment. The cost of the clinic is $15 and no antihistamines can be taken 5 days prior to the testing.
