A film featuring views of the Bighorn Mountains and downtown Sheridan - with footage that might have been shot as early as the 1940's - will be coming to a television screen near you soon on Channel 22.
The film, called "A Stone's Throw From Heaven," features footage produced by George Grunkemeyer which was later digitized by Leon Schatz of Wayward Films Studio.
Dixie Johnson, executive director of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce, said that the film can be viewed almost any time of day or night on the Sheridan Channel - that's channel 22 for Optimum cable customers - or online at www.youtube.com/thesheridanchannel.
Johnson also said that if people can correctly guess the year the film was shot, and provide evidence for their guess, fifty Chamber bucks will go to the winner.
People can email their guesses to email@example.com.
